Official Florida county learning resource
UF/IFAS Extension & 4-H — Columbia County
Columbia County 4-H offers a local route into hands-on projects, clubs and camps for ages 5–18. Its official enrollment guide helps Lake City and Columbia County families get started. This is an enrichment resource, not a homeschool-only co-op.
How to explore a good fit
- Choose an interest: The county describes options across animals, agriculture, STEM, cooking, arts, leadership and community service. Ask which local clubs currently cover your child’s interests.
- Review enrollment: The official guide explains family accounts, club and project selection, required forms and any applicable membership fee. A parent or guardian should manage enrollment.
- Wait for approval: Submitting an enrollment does not make it approved; the guide says the county office reviews pending applications. Camps and events have their own registration steps.
Source and timing: The enrollment guide was updated in August 2026. That does not confirm openings in a particular club or camp.

Before you join
Before registering, confirm the current club contact, age fit, meeting schedule, supervision expectations and any additional supply or event fees. Enrollment and payment happen with the program, not through this informational listing.
